Job Role Overview

Project Planner Position

This is a Project Planner role within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating between various disciplines, ensuring compliance with specifications through team lead of respective disciplines.

The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, documentation, and coordination. They should possess excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure understanding of project plans and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate between various disciplines, documentation, folder structure, and ensure compliance with specification through team lead of respective disciplines.
  • Initiate and coordinate interface management process that includes development of organisation chart, interface matrix, RACI matrix, tracking progress of internal deliverables through weekly visual planning meetings using visual planning tools.
  • Contribute to value engineering at various stages through localization of concepts and market research which leads to cost savings.
  • Periodically review construction documents and design solutions against clients scope, to maintain focus on meeting the client's requirements and success factors, in addition to ensuring the solution is integrated and coordinated.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and costs through earned value analysis and other project control techniques.
  • Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-arounds.
  • Establish project baselines at start of project and track it on timely basis as required.
  • Prepare S-curves, schedule variances, project dashboard, etc.
  • Support project manager with all key information related to health of project, performance as per baselines, delay, resources, communication, look ahead etc.

Requirements

  • Must possess B-Tech/M-Tech in Civil/Structural/Transportation Engineering or Masters/PG in Construction Management/Project Management with 3-10 years of professional experience.
  • Should have preferably worked in similar role and have good understanding of processes. International consultancy experience would be an added advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of design management and project planning.
  • Must be highly competent in written and verbal English language.
  • Must possess profound design experience in infrastructure market.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating within teams to develop multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficient team player, with experience of managing relationships with multiple stakeholders, thereby fostering their involvement and engagement.
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities to ensure understanding of project plans and solutions.
  • Competent user of IT Tools in particular Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and scheduling and reporting tools like MS Project, Primavera P6, PowerBI etc.
  • Wider knowledge of other disciplines is highly desirable.
