Senior Corporate Tax Specialist Role

This senior corporate tax specialist position involves overseeing and managing corporate tax compliance operations for clients. Key responsibilities include performing complex tax computations, implementing tax laws, and coordinating with finance teams to ensure seamless integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly and annual corporate tax computations for multiple entities.
  • Review tax workings and reconcile with financial statements to guarantee accuracy.
  • Ensure strict compliance with tax laws, including DTAA provisions and international taxation principles.
  • Handle computation of Deferred Tax Assets (DTA) and Deferred Tax Liabilities (DTL) in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Finalize and submit tax deliverables within agreed-upon deadlines.
Client Coordination & Communication
  • Collaborate closely with client finance teams to obtain necessary data and clarify any doubts or concerns.
  • Participate in scheduled calls to present tax deliverables and address any queries or follow-ups.
  • Support communication with tax authorities and facilitate the resolution of documentation queries or disputes.
Implementation & Process Improvement
  • Interpret and implement updates in tax law across various client engagements.
  • Update working templates and SOPs to reflect regulatory changes and enhance efficiency.
  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement across compliance processes to maximize productivity.
Reporting & Governance
  • Maintain trackers for deliverables and deadlines to ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare internal and external reports on tax compliance status and key performance metrics.
  • Guarantee adherence to quality standards in all submissions to maintain a high level of integrity.
Team Management
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals handling compliance delivery.
  • Review outputs for technical accuracy and completeness to guarantee exceptional quality.
  • Conduct training sessions to ensure the team stays updated on compliance developments and best practices.

Essential skills and qualifications include:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5–7 years of post-qualification experience in corporate tax.
  • Strong background in tax compliance, preferably including DTAA provisions and international taxation.
  • Experience working in Big 4 / Tier-1 consulting firms is highly valued.

Proven ability to manage teams, processes, and deadlines effectively is crucial for success in this role.
