About the Role

This is a hybrid position, requiring in-office attendance on specific days as determined by the Company, with the remainder of the week being remote work. The employee is expected to work from 7 AM to 3 PM Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday, and during peak periods, hours may extend to 5 PM Eastern Standard Time as directed by the Company.

The primary duties of this role will include tax compliance, tax preparation, and providing expert advice on tax matters. As a US Tax Associate, you will prepare personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns along with other tax elections.

You will be responsible for applying provisions of US tax treaties to cross-border tax transactions, assisting with Sales tax filings and registrations, and collaborating closely with partners and senior staff to develop and implement effective strategies and client tax planning assignments.

  • Prepare assigned sections of working papers to support income tax return filings.
  • Assist with government tax audits, including analytical support, information collection, response preparation, and direct interaction with clients and the IRS.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in preparing or reviewing 1040 personal income tax returns and 1120 corporate income tax returns.
  • Prior public accounting experience (preferably in tax) is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for effectively communicating with clients about their tax matters.
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; a Master's of Commerce is preferred.
  • Ability to complete engagement with limited supervision is a must.
