We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to fill the role of Financial Accountant. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our team to provide high-quality accounting services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records using Excel and QuickBooks Online, ensuring timely completion of tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis, identifying any discrepancies or errors and resolving them promptly.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure tax compliance (GST/HST/PST, corporate tax, payroll taxes) in collaboration with senior advisors, staying up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Financial Reporting: Assemble working paper packages for financial statements, providing clear and concise information to stakeholders.
  • Client Onboarding: Proven experience in onboarding Canadian clients, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into our accounting systems and processes.
  • Data Management: Conduct data entry tasks as needed, maintaining accurate and secure records.
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare corporate tax returns and related documentation, demonstrating expertise in accounting standards (IFRS/ASPE/GAAP), taxation, and compliance.
  • Payroll Management: Oversee payroll tasks, including client onboarding, payroll processing, etc., ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients via email and phone to gather necessary information and clarify details, providing excellent customer service and support.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Approx. 2-4 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably with Canadian accounting firms.
  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field (e.g., B. Com, M. Com, CAs).
  • Skills: Excellent attention to detail, ability to work independently and collaboratively, excellent written and verbal English communication skills, and good understanding of the Canadian and American accent.
