Job Title: Observability Specialist

Location: India

Experience: 8+ Years

Notice Period : Immediate to 15 Days

Skills: ITIL, ITSM, Sumo Logic, APM Tools

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive observability strategies to monitor IT systems and applications.
  • Implement observability best practices using ITSM/ITIL frameworks.
  • Deploy and manage APM tools to monitor application performance and health.
  • Analyse APM data to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
  • Configure Sumo Logic for log management and analytics.
  • Utilize Sumo Logic to collect, process, and analyse logs, metrics, and traces.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to investigate and resolve incidents and problems.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence of issues and improve system reliability.
  • Monitor system performance and detect anomalies before they impact users.
  • Create dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and system health metrics.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ Years of experience with thorough knowledge on ITIL/ITSM process.
  • Exposure to APM tools like Dynatrace, Datadog.
  • Expertise in sumo logic.
  • Design alerting mechanisms leveraging monitoring, alerting, and logging tools.
  • Reduce noise on alerts.
  • Periodic reviews to increase observability coverage across applications.
  • Regular review of metrics and derive anomalies.
  • Update dashboards as required.
