Accounting Operations Specialist

About this role:

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and ledger entries. They will also assist in preparing financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate entry of financial data into accounting systems, and supporting the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment to vendors and collection from customers.
  • Reconcile bank statements, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accuracy of records.
  • Enter financial data into accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Support the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights and analysis to management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field (CA Inter / MBA Finance is a plus)
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with accounting tools like Tally, Xero, or similar
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, basic formulas, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to multitask
