Job Title: IT Operations Excellence Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our IT operations management team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring service availability and operational excellence.

About the Role
  • Oversaw IT infrastructure operations, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
  • Managed incident, problem, change, and event management processes in alignment with ITIL frameworks to maintain high system availability and reliability.
  • Utilized ITOM platforms (ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, Event Management, and Orchestration) to monitor and optimize performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensured system availability, capacity planning, disaster recovery readiness, and business continuity by conducting regular risk assessments and developing contingency plans.
  • Developed and implemented operational dashboards, KPIs, and compliance reports to provide visibility into IT operations and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Automated recurring operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce downtime, freeing up staff to focus on higher-value activities.
  • Collaborated with security, applications, and business teams to ensure resilient IT services that meet organizational needs.
  • Conducted root cause analysis for critical incidents and implemented corrective actions to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.
  • Trained and mentored graduate trainees and junior staff on ITOM practices, tools, and governance, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
  • Drove continual improvement initiatives within IT operations to align with organizational strategy and goals.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in IT operations management, preferably with a focus on enterprise IT infrastructure and service availability.
  • Strong knowledge of ITSM/ITOM platforms (ServiceNow, BMC, SolarWinds), cloud infrastructure operations, and IT governance standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior staff, as well as training graduate trainees.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
