Job Title: Category Lead - FMCG

As a Category Lead for FMCG, you will be responsible for managing the performance of the FMCG category across various regions. This role involves leading a team of professionals to drive sales growth, improve profitability, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of Category Managers to develop and execute strategies that drive sales growth and profitability improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain, to ensure alignment and effective execution of business plans.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Work closely with Store Operations, Supply Chain, and other teams to optimize product placement, pricing, and promotions.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of Category Managers and other team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Graduate/Post Graduate/MBA degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of local language/location and willingness to travel within the region and PAN India.
