At 7 Bazaari, we are on a mission to revolutionize the retail and distribution space with our thoughtfully designed products. We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead our distribution efforts across General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) channels.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to drive business growth and development in the distribution sector. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing both GT and MT channels, building strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts, and developing strategies to achieve sales targets and ensure consistent revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing both GT and MT, with a passion for learning and an adaptable approach to work. You will be expected to travel extensively to meet with partners, assess market conditions, and monitor distribution performance.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a base salary of $80,000 per annum, plus bonuses and other incentives based on performance. In addition, you will receive significant learning opportunities and exposure to diverse markets, flexibility, and a collaborative work culture.
Key Responsibilities- Drive the development and execution of distribution strategies across GT and MT channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
- Achieve sales targets and ensure consistent growth in revenue.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Identify new markets and opportunities for product placement and distribution.
- Develop strategies to penetrate untapped regions and channels.
- Work closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to align distribution strategies with brand goals.
- Provide insights and feedback to improve product offerings and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure smooth operations through efficient inventory management, order processing, and timely deliveries.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A minimum of 7-8 years of experience in distribution, handling both GT and MT.
- Proficient in Excel and data analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively as part of the role.
