
Senior Pharmaceutical Access Specialist

The Market Access Director is a strategic role that plays a critical part in ensuring optimal pricing, reimbursement, and patient access for pharmaceutical products. This individual must have strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Health Economics teams to develop and execute market access strategies aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive market access strategies to ensure optimal pricing, reimbursement, and patient access for pharmaceutical products
- Conducting market research and health economics analysis to identify market access barriers, pricing trends, and payer requirements
- Collaborating closely with Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), Medical Affairs, Commercial, and Regulatory teams to generate evidence supporting product value
- Engaging with payers, government bodies, and healthcare authorities to negotiate reimbursement strategies, pricing, and access conditions
- Preparing and submitting reimbursement dossiers, value dossiers, pricing applications, and HTA submissions
- Monitoring policy developments, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to proactively adapt access strategies
- Providing strategic insights and recommendations to support product launch planning and lifecycle management
- Managing stakeholder relationships, including payers, KOLs, industry bodies, and internal teams
This role requires a postgraduate degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Health Economics, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in Market Access, HEOR, Pricing & Reimbursement, or a related function within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, pricing & reimbursement pathways, HTA processes, and payer dynamics
- Proven experience in developing and implementing market access strategies, preparing reimbursement dossiers, and engaging with payers
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
