Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Access Control Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide second-level support for access control systems, ensuring seamless system performance and operational security needs.

This is a challenging opportunity for individuals with a strong understanding of physical security systems, integration capabilities, and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Technical Support: Offer technical assistance and troubleshooting for access control systems remotely.
  • Analyze and Debug Issues: Identify and resolve system incidents, alarms, and operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with onsite teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective problem resolution.
  • Develop and Implement Enhancements: Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software enhancements and custom integrations to improve system functionality.
  • Maintain System Documentation: Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, user guides, and support procedures.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis for recurring issues and initiate preventive measures.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on Experience: 3+ years of experience supporting, maintaining, and enhancing access control systems.
  • Access Control Knowledge: Good understanding of access control concepts, physical security principles, and industry standards.
  • System Integration: Experience with system integration, IP network protocols, and common security hardware (readers, controllers, locks).
  • Programming Skills: Strong knowledge of SQL and database management related to access control platforms. Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell, C#, or .NET.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and communicate effectively with global teams.
Preferred Skills:
  • Certifications: Certifications related to access control systems.
  • Video Surveillance: Experience with video surveillance system integration.
  • Cybersecurity: Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices related to physical security systems.
