Job Summary

The Commercial Banking Specialist at Axis Bank is responsible for achieving budgeted targets by sourcing new business through channels and customer relationship management. This role involves coordinating post-sanction formalities, including disbursement, cross-selling, and compliance with statutory and internal audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate leads by identifying potential industrial areas and preparing strategies to increase the bank's penetration in those areas
  • Manage internal and external lead-generating channels to generate expected business
  • Enable the sanctioning process by conducting and scrutinizing pre-disbursement activities
  • Liaise with Corporate Banking Operations and Centralized Processing Unit to ensure smooth completion of post-sanction formalities
  • Meet customer service requirements through regular interactions with customers
  • Monitor transactions in customer accounts to ensure compliance with sanction stipulations
  • Assist the Credit Manager in unit inspections and ensure timely insurance renewal, DP updates, and market information gathering
  • Ensure maintenance of a quality portfolio and minimize Days Past Due through regular customer interactions
  • Initiate recovery of stressed accounts through tele-calling and field visits
  • Ensure compliance with stipulated guidelines and norms, and closure of audit processes
