Key Responsibilities:

This role will see you responsible for the efficient management of a department. Key objectives include meeting expectations, both internally and externally.

  • Manage production processes to achieve desired outcomes;
  • Maintain high standards in line with hotel policies and strategies.
  • Lead and motivate a team to deliver results.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications and experience in food production. A professional diploma or apprenticeship in this field is desirable. Additionally, candidates must have at least 2 years of work experience as a Pastry Chef or Assistant Pastry Chef in a larger operation.

  • Knowledge of pastry specialisation and relevant skills;
  • Ability to manage staff and lead by example;
  • Strong organisational and time management skills;
  • Adequate administrative skills and a flair for creativity.
