Job Title

A strategic sourcing specialist is responsible for providing procurement value within a company's business, corporate, and IT spend categories.

The job involves identifying and managing relationships with key internal stakeholders, executing the sourcing process, and supporting clients on related governance requirements.

The role requires continuous improvement of various procurement processes.

About This Role

This position supports and manages the sourcing process for high volume low risk engagements, aiming for prompt turnaround. It leads clients through the sourcing process, including contract negotiations, risk and governance support, and approvals.

The individual assesses, defines, and resolves procurement issues, applying project management concepts to planning and execution. Ensuring adherence to related governance processes/policies is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide sourcing value within Procurement COE for Canadian business, Corporate, and IT spend categories.
  • Identify and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the execution of the sourcing process.
  • Support clients on related governance requirements.
  • Focus on continuous improvement of various procurement processes.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant sourcing/procurement experience.
  • Proven expertise in leading sourcing initiatives, developing strategies, and driving processes.
  • Ability to work with internal stakeholders, drive processes, and lead negotiations.
  • Familiarity with vendor contract language, SAP Ariba Contracts and Sourcing Modules.
  • Understanding of general procurement challenges and solutions.
  • Ability to work with legal counsel and other governance stakeholders.
