Key Responsibilities:

  • Proven expertise in SAP technologies, including SAP NetWeaver, Web Dispatcher, Business Objects solutions, Cloud Connector, Convergent Charging, Convergent Mediation, and OpenText.
  • Experience in Cloud Operations for running large-scale applications systems.
  • Proficiency in ITIL and IT Service Management processes, such as Incident Management, Event Management/Monitoring, and Change Request Management.
  • Ability to write technical concepts, including Knowable Base Articles, Wiki pages, Root Cause Analysis, and BLOG entries.
  • Experience in automating monitoring or operational workflows.
  • Contribute to the vision and execution of teams in ECS Last line of Defence and act as an expert to Service Areas for advanced troubleshooting.
  • Lead in implementing activities, such as architecture decisions, Process mining exercises, and Continuous improvements that contribute to team stability and performance.
  • Establish relationships with Domain Leads in Application area, Service engineering, and Service Area Operation to influence supportability/operability of products.
  • Contribute to initiatives to reduce application-related outages.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and support for roadmap, feature, and bug fixes.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of SAP Basis systems, both on Operation system level and inside the SAP system, preferably holding SAP certification in NW administration or S/4HANA System administration.
  • Knowledge on Hyperscale's (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and Automations & Provisioning in cloud environment.
  • Incident Management skills and In-Depth troubleshooting skills are mandatory.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented personality and a technology enthusiast.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and work on time-critical assignments.
  • Positive, proactive, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience.

About the Team:

  • The Application Last Line of Defence in SAP ECS is a group of experts responsible for the continuous availability and performance of customer applications hosted in ECS.
  • This team focuses on Critical incident troubleshooting and service Requests, ensuring timely resolution.
  • With both NetWeaver and Non-NetWeaver Application experts, this team provides a wide range of opportunities to upskill, work with various internal teams, resolve critical issues, and drive important initiatives within the Organisation.
