Food Preparation Team Leader

Job Title
The role of a Station Head is an entry-level position that oversees the coordination and supervision of activities in a particular workstation responsible for preparing and cooking food products. As this position progresses, it should develop into future leadership roles in management responsibility, knowledge, skills, and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise workstation activities to ensure food preparation and presentation meet corporate recipe standards.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members while controlling overtime and work schedules.
- Train and monitor junior chefs and cooks for proper service, providing on-the-job training and feedback.
- Maintain inventory levels, prepare requisitions, and adhere to HACCP and sanitation standards.
- Operate equipment according to standard procedures and report any issues to supervisors.
- Participate in cleaning workstations during and after meal preparation.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and other work-related activities as required.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years' experience in upscale environments such as hotels, resorts, or cruise ships.
- Culinary school degree is required.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Intermediate computer software skills are necessary.
