MUFG Global Service Private Limited:
Established in 2020, MUFG Global Service Private Limited (MGS) is a 100% subsidiary of MUFG having offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. MGS India has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/AML, Credit, Operations etc. to MUFG Bank offices globally.
MGS India plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFG's global network across Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific.
About the Role:
Position Title: Trade Finance Administrator
Corporate Title: Administrator
Reporting to: Vice President
Location: Bangalore/Mumbai
Purpose of this Role:
This role is responsible for the smooth processing of Trade and Remittance transactions assigned by the Team Lead/Director. The individual will demonstrate a high level of accuracy and understanding of the transactions. Assist the Team Lead/Director in overall activities of the team. Responsible for preparing and sharing various Management Information Systems required for the department. Coordinate with the Corporate Shared Department and Branch for the smooth conduct of transactions.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Process all administrative tasks related to data capture such as scanning documents, document reconciliation, Fi-bridge entries to paperless folders, printing, posting, running reports etc.
2. Post duties and controls.
3. Mechanical processing of letters of credit (import and export and amendments), letters of guarantees/standby letters of credit (issuance) and fees in the banks systems, across all EMEA offices supported. Note mechanical processing means administration of Swift creation, paper-based instrument creation, fee management, paper file management, compliance controls, communications, and system use/updates.
4. Letter of credit acceptance.
5. Payments of TF instruments (including finance/discounts).
6. Computer literate and fully conversant with MS Office tools.
7. Guarantee fee management.
8. Documentary collection processing.
9. Other reasonable tasks as requested.
10. Ensure processing is effected in a team spirit and avoid silo-based attitudes where people should think beyond their immediate workspace and consider the wider team's pressure points thereby delivering maximum efficiency.
Requirements:
Key Skills & Knowledge:
1. Strong PC skills (MS Office).
2. Sound knowledge of Trade Finance products.
3. Good interpersonal skills to deal courteously and effectively with others.
4. Good understanding of basic banking products.
5. Understanding of local relevant regulations.
6. Understanding of trade finance products; import and export LCs, collections, and financing.
7. Knowledge of UCP600 and other relevant ICC publications.
8. Knowledge of money laundering controls relevant to trade finance.
9. Awareness of UK, Japan, and OFAC sanction policies.
10. Understanding of formatting Swift messages.
Education & Professional Qualifications:
1. Graduate and/or Post Graduate.
2. Certification in any Trade Finance areas would be preferred. CDCS.
Length & Type of Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
