Lead IT Infrastructure Specialist

Job Description:

Our company is seeking a highly skilled Lead IT Infrastructure Specialist to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the continuous flow of data between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, low latency, redundancy, and security.
  • Collaborate with production and IT teams to align network infrastructure with operational needs.
  • Lead the installation and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, identifying potential bottlenecks and minimizing downtime.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and modernization initiatives that include security features and future-ready wireless infrastructure solutions.
  • Ensure network scalability to support future production needs and business growth.
  • Implement and enforce network security policies and controls in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Manage relationships with network vendors and external partners to ensure timely delivery, implementation, and support for network hardware and services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in managing production floor network infrastructure in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade network equipment and network monitoring tools.
  • Proven experience in leading network architecture projects and managing security protocols.
