Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Kitchen Support Specialist to assist in food preparation, kitchen maintenance, and supporting the culinary team during meal service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cooks and chefs in preparing ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and portioning items.
  • Perform basic cooking duties under the supervision of senior kitchen staff, adhering to established recipes and procedures.
  • Support the culinary team during service by plating, garnishing, and assembling dishes to high standards.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, ensuring all equipment, tools, and workstations are properly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Participate in receiving and organizing kitchen deliveries, verifying inventory levels and stocking supplies as needed.
  • Comply with food safety protocols and dispose of kitchen waste responsibly.
  • Follow instructions from chefs and kitchen supervisors accurately and efficiently.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and basic food safety principles.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation setting is an asset.
  • Ability to follow recipes and kitchen procedures, maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and maintain a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
