Job Overview:

TheSqua seeks a skilled Revenue Manager to join our 24/7 team. As a key member, you will be responsible for optimizing revenue through dynamic pricing strategies, competitive benchmarking, and market trend analysis.

About the Role:

  • This role involves daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments, and reporting to ensure maximum revenue potential.
  • You will perform competitor benchmark studies, follow market trends, and provide weekly dynamic forecasts of expected results, variances, and budget comparisons.
  • Effective management and oversight of all 3rd party distribution channels are essential.
  • Ensuring all Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and Social Media Portals are configured correctly, validated, and functioning at full capacity is critical.
  • Reservations department standards and operations will be overseen and audited regularly.
  • Website booking processes must be maintained up-to-date and functional.
  • Evaluating performance of distribution partners and contracted rates (OTA, Social Media Portals) is crucial.
  • Reducing distribution costs by finding less expensive means of delivering business is a key objective.
  • Confidently working with our Channel manager in updating rates, rate plans, and checking perfect sync with our Property Management System (PMS) is required.
  • Assessing, analyzing, and pricing rate and group business strategies is an essential responsibility.
  • A number-savvy and revenue-minded individual who can analyze data, make informed decisions, and drive revenue growth is ideal.
  • High proficiency in Excel is necessary.
  • Supporting the Revenue Manager in analyzing market trends, competitor pricing, and demand forecasts is an added responsibility.
  • Developing pricing strategies for various products and services, ensuring they are competitive and attractive to clients, is critical.
  • Managing inventory, allocating rooms, monitoring sales, and adjusting availability based on demand and strategic goals is a key task.
  • Regularly monitoring and reporting on revenue performance, including analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and generating reports to inform decision-making, is essential.
  • Implementing yield management strategies to maximize revenue, making decisions on pricing and availability in response to demand variations, is a key responsibility.
  • Utilizing specialized revenue management software built in-house for data analysis and decision-making is required.
  • Forecasting future revenue and assisting in the budgeting process, including setting revenue targets and identifying potential areas for revenue growth, is an added responsibility.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and practices, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in OTA revenue management, is essential.
  • Analyzing customer feedback and market research to understand customer preferences and adjust strategies accordingly is a critical task.
  • Providing exceptional account support to the reservation team, handling calls, live chat, and converting inquiries into bookings is also required.

Work Schedule:

You will be part of a 24/7 team, primarily working GMT hours. Shift patterns may vary, but your core shift will be around 12 pm to 11 pm, with some shifts in the morning if needed by the business.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Revenue Management, managing OTAs, competitive benchmarking, and competitive pricing (preferably from the Travel/Hospitality sector)
  • Prior experience in handling reservations and guest bookings is preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential
  • High energy levels, good analytical and problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are required
  • Willingness to work assigned shifts and travel to the work location is essential

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
