Cloud Data Architect Position

We are seeking an accomplished Cloud Data Architect to design, develop and maintain cutting-edge cloud data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and other related technologies. This senior-level role involves leading architectural discussions, defining best practices, and mentoring junior team members to ensure the highest level of data governance, security, and compliance.

About the Role
This is a senior-level position that requires experience with designing and optimizing large-scale data pipelines and ETL workflows on GCP. As a Cloud Data Architect, you will be responsible for building and maintaining data models, storage solutions, and analytical systems using GCP services. Your work will include troubleshooting and resolving issues in data pipelines and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and optimize large-scale data pipelines and ETL workflows on GCP.
  • Build and maintain data models, storage solutions, and analytical systems leveraging BigQuery, Dataflow, and other GCP services.
  • Ensure robust data governance, security, and compliance within cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • Optimize SQL queries, scripts, and workflows for performance and scalability.
  • Lead architectural discussions, define best practices, and mentor junior team members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines and production environments.


Required Skills & Experience:
  • 4+ years hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • 3+ years working experience with Python and SQL.
  • Strong experience in one or more of the following: GCP + Python + SQL + Dataflow, GCP + BigQuery, GCP + Data Governance, GCP + Java + Apache Beam, GCP + Big Data + SQL + ETL, GCP + PySpark / BigQuery SQL, GCP + BigQuery + Unix + PL/SQL.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments with cross-location teams.


Good to Have:
  • Experience with advanced Big Data frameworks and large-scale distributed systems.
  • Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization. Prior experience in architecting enterprise-grade GCP data solutions.
