Senior Cloud Data Architect

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud data platforms, data lakes, and analytics solutions.

  • We are seeking a highly experienced professional with a deep understanding of cloud data architecture and its applications in big data analytics.
  • The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with various database technologies, including Databricks, and will be able to design and implement scalable and secure data solutions.
  • This role requires strong leadership skills, as the candidate will be responsible for establishing and leading a new engineering team.
  • A strong background in cloud DevOps practices and implementation is also essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud data platforms, data lakes, and analytics solutions.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of ETL solutions and other analytics tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions.
  • Establish and lead a new engineering team to achieve steady-state operations.
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in cloud data platform architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks and deep understanding of its architecture and capabilities.
  • Experience working with various file formats that support big data.
  • In-depth practical hands-on experience on native cloud services (Azure and/or AWS) and Python, Scala, SQL.
  • Strong understanding of cloud DevOps practices and implementation.
  • Experience in cloud data migration for large-sized enterprise data warehouse environments.
