Job Title:

Area Growth Manager

This role encompasses end-to-end responsibility for Sales & Distribution in the area. As a key member of our organization, you will be accountable for ensuring product availability and driving sales performance efficiently.

The incumbent is responsible for Secondary & Primary management, Distributor management & Team Management to drive business growth.

  • Distribution Management:
    • Strategize and implement distribution mapping, appointment, and operations to optimize supply chain efficiency.
    • Motivate channel partners to deliver high-quality business outcomes.
    • Monitor return on investment (ROI) of distributors and improve their performance.
    • Implement process creation and adherence to timely supply to retailers, ensuring inventory levels are maintained.
    • Manage inventory at distributors and overall geography to meet demand.
    • Implement guardrails for stock condition and ensure secondary claim management.
  • Growth Management:
    • Develop and implement strategies for Secondary and primary management of the geography to drive growth.
    • Track quarterly/monthly sales progression and ensure weekly flighting.
    • Ensure availability of all SKUs and promote new product development and growth.
    • Manage cash flow assurance (CFA) and sales operation to ensure efficient use of resources.
    • Ensure all basics of distribution (productivity, ECO, LPPC etc.) are met.
    • Conduct competition benchmarking and track competitor activity in the region.
  • Spend Management:
    • Develop a channel-specific approach to manage RE spend effectively.
    • Plan trade loads to push volume and visibility, and manage sales returns.
  • People Management:
    • Create a positive work environment across the region, promoting team engagement and motivation.
    • Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness in the region.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in sales & distribution in FMCG Industry-General Trade.
  • In-depth geography knowledge and excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Team management skills to lead and motivate teams.
  • Ability to manage grievances and prioritize tasks efficiently.
