Assistant Manager - Catastrophe and Treaty Modelling Position

Job Overview:

As an Assistant Manager in our Catastrophe and Treaty Modelling team, you will be responsible for overseeing a group of 5-6 members and providing high-quality risk assessments for individual accounts or portfolios. Your expertise will ensure the highest levels of exposure data accuracy and completeness, enhancing efficiency in the catastrophe modelling process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of 5-6 team members and prioritize high-value and high-risk locations.
  • Format, scrub, and arrange data to ensure all logical checks are in place and maintain exposure databases for analysis.
  • Accurately and timely account pricing, considering service level agreements, and support underwriters with queries and exposure movement year over year.
  • Contribute ideas for process enhancement and improvement, understanding and interpreting model results to provide risk-specific observations to underwriters.

Requirements:

  • 6 years' experience in Cat modelling/Treaty modelling, preferably with insurance/reinsurance experience.
  • Exposure to AIR touchstone, SQL, and MS office proficiency.
  • Excellent analytical skills, Excel manipulation, functions at a foundation level, and good problem-solving skills.
  • Insurance certification/Insurance projects in dissertation, Advance Excel/VBA programming language, and team management skills.
