Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of wholesale risk models and collaborating with senior management to drive strategic initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Governance: Establish a new Centre of Excellence for Wholesale Rating Models, providing thought leadership and driving innovation within the team.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain key relationships with stakeholders across the credit lifecycle, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Model Development: Design and implement end-to-end processes for model development, validation, and lifecycle management, leveraging expertise in statistics and mathematics.
  • Team Management: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of modelers and consultants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Risk Analytics: Develop and integrate climate risk models, leveraging economic and social data to inform business decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Essential: Strong foundation in Statistics and Mathematics, hands-on experience in developing and validating Wholesale Rating Models, deep understanding of model lifecycle best practices, strong programming languages such as R and Python, and proficiency in data analysis and visualization.
  • Desirable: Postgraduate or professional qualification in risk management or finance, experience of developing teams in a multi-jurisdictional and matrixed organization, and understanding and experience of BCBS frameworks.
