Desktop Support Professional

Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and resourceful Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating systems, hardware, and software support, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating System Support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems across devices to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Hardware Support: Assemble, upgrade, and troubleshoot computer hardware to maintain optimal performance.
  • Software Support: Install, configure, backup, and troubleshoot standard applications, including MS Outlook, to minimize downtime.
  • Network Support: Install and troubleshoot network printers, VPNs, and firewalls to ensure secure connectivity.
  • Security: Implement BitLocker encryption, update antivirus software, and manage virus protection to safeguard our systems.
  • Active Directory Management: Create user accounts, reset passwords, update group policies, and manage access control to maintain a secure environment.
  • Remote Support: Provide remote assistance for software and system-related issues to increase productivity and reduce downtime.
  • Asset Management: Coordinate with vendors for hardware issues and maintain inventory records for hardware and software assets.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in operating systems, hardware, and software support.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other standard applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
