Job Title: Senior System Operations Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior System Operations Specialist to play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production systems during night shifts. This key position involves executing End-of-Day (EOD) and Beginning-of-Day (BOD) job processes, coordinating DC and DR failover activities, and managing system patching activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee production systems during night shifts to ensure seamless operations and prompt response to incidents.
  • Execute EOD and BOD job processes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate DC and DR failover activities to ensure availability and reliability of critical systems.
  • Perform system patching activities to ensure all systems are up-to-date with the latest security and functionality updates.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, support teams, and business team to address and resolve production issues efficiently.
  • Prepare and share comprehensive periodic status reports detailing performance, incidents, and improvements made during the week.
  • Administer Linux-based systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.
  • Evaluate and optimize system performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with EOD/BOD job handling and managing DC, DR failover activities.
  • System patching process coordination with different teams.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in managing Linux systems.
  • Basic understanding of database systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during night shifts.
  • Dedication towards duties and responsibilities with initiative-taking.
  • Team building and leadership skills.
