Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Citrix Architect to design, implement and maintain virtual desktop solutions using Citrix technologies.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Azure virtual desktop services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory and virtual networks.

They will also be proficient in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC and Citrix Cloud, with experience in network design and identity and access management concepts.

The successful candidate will possess excellent documentation and communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Solution Design: Analyze business requirements, assess existing infrastructure and design scalable, secure and high-performance architectures for end-to-end virtual desktop solutions.
  • Citrix Integration: Design and integrate Citrix products, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC and Citrix Cloud, with Azure virtual desktop services to provide a comprehensive and cohesive virtual desktop solution.
  • Azure Virtual Desktop Configuration: Configure and manage Azure virtual machines, session hosts, virtual networks and storage to create and maintain Azure virtual desktop environments.
  • Identity and Access Management: Design and implement identity and access management strategies, including integration with Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication and role-based access controls for virtual desktop environments.
  • Network Infrastructure: Design and configure network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Azure, including network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs and load balancers to ensure secure and efficient data transfer.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize virtual desktop environments for performance, scalability and user experience, monitoring and tuning resource allocation, load balancing and network bandwidth to ensure optimal performance.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security measures, including data encryption, access controls and compliance requirements to protect virtual desktop environments and ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss, creating redundancy mechanisms, backup strategies and failover mechanisms to ensure business continuity.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Set up monitoring tools and processes to proactively monitor the virtual desktop infrastructure, identifying and troubleshooting performance issues, system errors and network connectivity problems to maintain a stable and reliable environment.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Several years of experience as a Citrix Architect or similar role designing and implementing virtual desktop solutions using Citrix technologies.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of Azure virtual desktop services, proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC and Citrix Cloud, experience in network design and identity and access management concepts, excellent documentation and communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
