Job Title: Assistant Key Account Manager – Modern Trade
Reports to : Key Account Manager
Department: Sales (Modern Trade)
Location: Mumbai
Experience: 2-4 years in key account management, preferably in Modern Trade within consumer goods or home appliances sectors
Job Summary:
We are looking for a driven and proactive Assistant Key Account Manager to support our Modern Trade sales team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing relationships with major retail chains, drive sales within Modern Trade channels, and support key account activities to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management Support: Assist the Key Account Manager in managing relationships with key Modern Trade accounts, including major retail chains and stores.
- Sales Growth & Target Achievement: Work towards achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets for Modern Trade accounts by supporting account-level sales activities.
- promotion & Activation Execution: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute in-store promotions, product displays, and campaigns to increase brand visibility and sales.
- Inventory & Supply Coordination: Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely stock availability, preventing stockouts, and optimizing inventory levels at key Modern Trade outlets.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor and analyze sales performance, customer insights, and market trends within Modern Trade accounts. Prepare performance reports to assist in developing targeted strategies.
- Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with store managers, buyers, and category managers to enhance account satisfaction and collaboration.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and category insights within the Modern Trade segment to provide recommendations for business growth.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in Modern Trade key account management, preferably within consumer goods or home appliances.
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- Sales Acumen: Strong understanding of Modern Trade dynamics, channel sales strategies, and experience in handling retail chains.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, generate insights, and prepare actionable recommendations.
- Communication & Relationship Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with Modern Trade partners.
- Proficiency in Tools: Skilled in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software for reporting and data management.
