Strategic Planner for Amazon Expansion

At Michael Kors, we are seeking a talented Strategic Planner to support the launch of our Amazon account and partnership. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial planning process across multiple categories.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of retail math and business acumen, with a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for providing financial metrics that aid in strategies to optimize product assortments and inventory on the site, working closely with our divisional presidents and wholesale accounts.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the launch of Amazon across multiple categories and driving the budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial planning process
- Leading account financial management initiatives via a partnership with a category manager and director
- Providing support and guidance to the Director and category manager to ensure standardization and consistency in projections and reporting
- Building financial reporting and forecasting for all the Amazon categories, tracking bookings, shipments, and product margin
- Providing reporting and analysis for weekly, monthly, and seasonal insight, recommending strategies based on said analytics and enacting action plans with category manager counterpart
- Participating in markets to ensure seasonal buys are appropriate given historical data
- Performing ad hoc projects for both MK and Amazon leadership on an as-needed basis
This is a full-time position based in our New York City office, with the requirement to work 3 days a week from NYC. If you are a motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for sales and a keen sense of the marketing landscape, we encourage you to apply.
