Job Title

The Financial Controller will lead the Finance function for our hotel in Ahmedabad.

As a member of the leadership team, this role champions and implements property-wide strategies to meet customer needs and expectations.

This position provides financial expertise to implement brand service strategy and initiatives while maximizing return on investment. It creates and executes a business plan aligned with the property and brand's strategy, focusing on financial and accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops means to improve profit through cost estimation and benefit exploration.
  • Analyzes information, forecasts sales against expenses, and creates annual budget plans.
  • Compiles information, analyzes, and monitors actual sales against projected sales.
  • Analyzes differences between actual budget wages and forecasted wages for efficient budget planning.
  • Identifies underlying principles, reasons, or facts by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
  • Thinks creatively and practically to develop and implement new business plans.
  • Creates the annual operating budget for the property.
  • Provides analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost savings and productivity opportunities.
  • Implements controls to manage business risks.
  • Ensures a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets and improve operations.
  • Analyzes financial data and market trends.

Requirements:

  • CA/MBA/Masters degree with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 10+ years experience in accounting preferably with the hotel industry.
