As an Area Sales Manager - Life Insurance, you will be responsible for driving regional sales performance, managing and mentoring sales teams, implementing business development strategies, and ensuring exceptional client service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Leadership: Delivering regional sales targets for life insurance via the direct channel is your prime focus.
  • Team Management: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales managers and front-line sales executives to achieve collective success.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs, sales performance, and productivity metrics; take corrective actions as needed.
  • Strategy Execution: Develop and implement local sales strategies aligned with company objectives and market trends.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities and untapped customer segments to drive growth.
  • Customer Engagement: Foster long-term relationships with clients by ensuring service quality, policy renewal, and post-sales support.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present weekly/monthly performance dashboards and market intelligence reports to senior management.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal process standards across the team.
Requirements and Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must possess:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of proven sales experience in life insurance (preferably in the direct channel).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Deep understanding of insurance sales processes, customer lifecycle management, and local market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline. MBA is a plus.
