Loan Closing Specialist

The Loan Closing Specialist plays a pivotal role in the mortgage process, ensuring seamless coordination and communication with clients, borrowers, and internal teams. Key responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and generating closing documents that meet client specifications and adhere to compliance requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve Final HUDs, collaborating effectively with processors to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Resolve closing issues, make system changes, and expedite corrected documents to facilitate scheduled closings.
  • Prepare and transmit funding information to clients to ensure timely loan funding.
  • Ensure all closing needs are met within committed time frames.
  • Verify error-free documentation prior to distribution of closing packages.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Loan Closing with high-volume closing expertise.
  • Preferred background in purchase loans.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of HARP and Conventional loan closing documentation requirements.
  • Knowledge of recent HUD/RESPA/GFE Compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency in title commitment reviews, validating closing conditions, and reviewing/balancing HUD Statements.
  • Maintain the highest standard of detail.
  • Excellent computer knowledge in a paperless environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours as needed.
