Job Title: Mortgage Closing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mortgage Closing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing loan packages, creating initial and subsequent closing disclosures, and coordinating with title and settlement agents to ensure timely closings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review loan packages and create initial and subsequent closing disclosures
  • Coordinate with title and settlement agents to ensure timely closings
  • Request fees from settlement agents and perform fee analysis
  • Prepare preliminary closing disclosure
  • Issue initial closing disclosures/re-disclosures to clients
  • Review flood insurance/flood certifications, title commitment, ownership of deed, loan approval, tax cert, and preliminary closing disclosures
  • Closely monitor individual closing pipeline, workload, and volume levels for maximum balance and efficiency
  • Review Power of Attorneys (POA)
  • Review Cash to Close
  • Create closing documents and monitor required waiting periods
  • Request preclosing audit prior to closing
  • Deliver final closing documents
  • Review final closing documents and clear to fund

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in preparing initial and final closing documents
  • Knowledge of commonly used mortgage concepts, practices, procedures, and Fannie Freddie guidelines
  • Working knowledge of loan origination systems
  • Basic knowledge to work on MS Office tools
