Job Title: Senior Mortgage Finance Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mortgage Underwriter to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting department, you will be responsible for evaluating loan applications and making informed decisions that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mortgage finance, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Underwrite and decision non-QM loans to comply with all applicable regulations.
  • Maintain client expectations by achieving individual quality benchmarks and production goals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.

You will also be responsible for analyzing complex financial data, reviewing title opinions, and communicating with clients to provide timely and accurate decisions.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Graduation from a reputable institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of mortgage underwriting experience.
  • Prior supervisory skills are an asset.

In addition, you must possess:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English language.
  • Ability to read and interpret borrower documentation, company policies, procedures, guidelines, reports, and legal documents.
