Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead a team of professionals in processing new business and end-to-end policy servicing for group business. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with sales and actuarial teams to ensure the efficient closure of individual group processes.

The role requires the ability to accomplish issuance of policies and resolve customer and intermediary queries while ensuring that an efficient, effective, professional, and courteous service is provided to intermediaries and customers.

To achieve this, the ideal candidate must ensure that established company procedures are complied with in a consistent manner, contribute to the introduction of improvements whenever possible, and implement and maintain agreed quality and quantity controls.

Furthermore, the role involves supervising and training an effective team that can meet the business needs of the organization as they grow with time.

The successful candidate will also coordinate with finance for reconciliation of policy account balances and lead transformation and digitization of group business.

The role demands strong leadership, team building, and influencing skills, as well as good experience of operations in the financial services industry.

In addition, the ideal candidate should have experience within the Group Operations department of an Insurance company, possess computer skills in using databases and office management software, including word processors and spreadsheets.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • MBA/ACII with a minimum of 8-10 years' experience gained in customer services or operations departments.
  • Associate of Insurance Institute will be an added advantage.
  • Good experience of operations in the financial services industry.
  • Experience within the Group Operations department of an Insurance company.
  • Experience in data processing to deliver operational efficiency.
  • Computer skills in using databases and office management software, including word processors and spreadsheets.
  • Strong leadership, team building, and influencing skills.
