Job Overview

This is a senior data engineering position that involves leading a team of big data engineers.

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem analysis skills and experience with at least one cloud infra provider such as Azure or AWS.

They will also be proficient in building data pipelines using batch processing with Apache Spark or Hive query language.

In addition, the candidate should have knowledge of NoSQL databases and experience with multiple data sources including relational databases and flat files.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of big data engineers to design and develop architectures that meet client requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to source data and make it available for downstream consumption.
  • Develop data pipelines for new sources, data transformations within the data lake, implementing GraphQL, working on NoSQL databases, CI/CD, and data delivery as per business requirements.
Requirements

Experience with wide variety of data from multiple sources within the organization as well as from social media and public data sources.

Build pipelines to bring in data from various sources and collaborate with teams to provide effective solution design.

Work with the team to debug, fine tune, and optimize large-scale data processing jobs.
