Lead Data Engineering Professional

This is a leadership role for an experienced data engineer with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving technical innovation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing scalable, efficient data architectures that meet the needs of our business.

We are looking for someone with 10+ years of experience in software development and data structures/algorithms, with a focus on backend and data engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of senior engineers to design, develop, and implement data-intensive applications
  • Proposing architecture and solving complex data models
  • Gathering requirements from clients and building holistic roadmaps
  • Identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies
  • Focusing on building high-quality features and delivering tasks to a high standard

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with 4+ years leading teams
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Python, JVM, and Shell Scripting with production experience
  • 5+ years of proven experience in building cloud-native data-intensive applications, with Amazon Web Services experience required
  • Experience in Databricks and dbt, as well as highly proficient architecting and implementing workflow management systems with Airflow
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
