Solar Sales Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and driven sales professional to leverage technical expertise into business growth in the solar sector. This role involves identifying opportunities, developing effective sales strategies, and converting leads into revenue.

  • Generate leads in residential, commercial, and industrial rooftop solar segments by conducting site visits, analyzing client needs, and explaining technical solutions in a clear and concise manner.
  • P prepare techno-commercial proposals, BOQs, and cost estimations that meet client expectations and industry standards.
  • B uild and maintain strong relationships with clients and consultants through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Achieve sales targets and support the company's growth in the solar sector by staying up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the solar sector.
  • Conduct site visits and analyze client needs to identify potential sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and present techno-commercial proposals, BOQs, and cost estimations to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and consultants through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to achieve sales targets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field is required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Solar EPC sales is preferred, but freshers with a strong passion for the industry may also apply.
  • Knowledge of solar system design basics, including kW sizing, inverters, modules, and net metering is essential.
  • Excellent communication and client-handling skills are necessary for success in this role.
  • The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, target-driven, and willing to travel as needed.
