Job Title: Senior Finance Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to join our team in a key role that will drive strategic financial planning, analysis, and optimization.

About the Role:
  • This senior finance associate position is responsible for conducting in-depth financial analysis to support data-driven decision-making, preparing and monitoring management information systems (MIS) reports, and assisting in creating financial models to assess business performance and opportunities.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing cash flow, overseeing budget preparation and performance tracking, and recommending measures to improve cost-efficiency and financial sustainability.
  • In addition, this role involves collaborating closely with the finance manager on key strategic activities, including fundraising efforts, and liaising with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and investors.
Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Planning & Analysis:
    • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support data-driven decision-making.
    • Prepare, monitor, and report on MIS to provide actionable insights.
    • Assist in creating financial models to assess business performance and opportunities.
  2. Cash Flow & Budget Management:
    • Monitor and manage the company's cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity.
    • Oversee budget preparation and performance tracking to maintain financial health.
    • Recommend measures to improve cost-efficiency and financial sustainability.
  3. Support Strategic Initiatives:
    • Collaborate closely with the Finance Manager on key strategic activities, including fundraising efforts.
    • Prepare financial projections and pitch decks for investors and stakeholders.
    • Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and investors.
  4. Process Optimization:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial operations.
    • Ensure compliance with all internal controls, regulations, and reporting requirements.
    • Book-keeping.
  5. Team Collaboration:
    • Act as a mentor to junior finance team members, guiding them on day-to-day tasks and financial best practices.
    • Work cross-functionally with other departments to align financial goals with business objectives.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of experience in financial planning, analysis, and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Familiarity with financial software and systems, including accounting packages and financial modeling tools.
