Job Summary:

Ocean Freight Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Operations Manager to oversee and control all ocean freight operations in the region. Your primary goal is to ensure compliance, service quality, and cost efficiency while driving process improvements and fostering stakeholder collaboration.

  • Manage and control all ocean freight operations (FCL, LCL, imports, exports) in the West region to guarantee compliance, service quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Drive P&L performance for the ocean freight product in the region, meeting revenue, gross profit, and cost optimization targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, NVOCCs, and vendors to secure competitive procurement rates and optimal space allocation.

  1. Oversee regional ocean freight operations to ensure compliance, service quality, and cost efficiency.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, improve customer satisfaction, and expand market share.
  3. Maintain strong relationships with carriers, NVOCCs, and vendors to secure competitive procurement rates and optimal space allocation.
  4. Lead and develop a high-performing team of ocean operations professionals.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, both short-term/tactical and long-term/strategic.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices in shipping and logistics.
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations and customs processes.

  • Ability to manage conflict and drive alignment across functions.
