Senior Sales Manager Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that drives growth, increases revenue, and establishes a strong market presence.

  • Develop strategic partnerships with key distributors and wholesalers to expand product portfolio in assigned territories.
  • Formulate a sales strategy to target key markets and establish a dominant regional presence through effective marketing and promotional activities.
  • Monitor sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics to achieve established goals and deliver profitable growth for the assigned region.
  • Oversee sales reporting obligations, including regular sales updates and pricing surveys to stay informed about market trends.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments, category innovation, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to implement customer agreements, increase revenue, and address customer needs through effective communication.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer support and supply chain efficiencies through process improvements and best practices.
  • Manage the Trade Development Manager Program and establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure territory development and progress.

Key qualifications for the successful applicant include:

  • At least 7+ years of core sales experience in the beverage or FMCG industry.
  • Mandatory experience in handling the Maharashtra region.
  • Team management experience of at least 3 years.
  • Open to travel, as the role will involve frequent travel across the region for business meetings and customer engagements.
