Job Title: Geotechnical Engineering Lead

The role of a Geotechnical Engineering Lead involves overseeing and coordinating the entire range of geotechnical activities for large-scale open pit mine operations. This includes managing complex geological settings, conducting site studies, preparing feasibility reports, stability analysis, and simulation modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the management of geotechnical activities
  • Develop and implement geotechnical study plans
  • Prepare pre-feasibility and feasibility reports
  • Conduct stability analysis and simulation modeling
  • Monitor and manage slope stabilization and monitoring aspects

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Geological Science/Geology/Applied Geology/Engineering Geology/Geotechnical Engineer or Mining Engineering
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical principles and practices
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
