Job Opportunity: Setting Up a Global Business Services Organisation

The company we are working with is a medium-sized, fast-growing player in the logistics industry. They have a strong presence in India and other parts of South and South East Asia.

About This Job
  • We are looking for a Head to set up a new Global Business Services (GBS) organisation from scratch.

This involves scope, strategising and planning the GBS organisation in conjunction with consultants, business leaders and promoters.

The successful candidate will deploy the plan through effective transition of talent across the service lines of Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Procurement, Customer and IT.

The role requires building high-performing service line teams across the board. This includes creating the right mix of talent through hiring from external captive centres, redefining roles of existing employees and third-party BPO/KPO organisations.

Another key aspect of this job is influencing stakeholders across the board in an assertive but non-aggressive manner.

Requirements
  • At least 20 years of experience in BPOs and shared services centres.
  • A chartered accountant qualification or deep knowledge of finance systems, processes and accounting standards.
  • Previous setup experience in a GBS environment.
  • Ability to adapt and stretch, including occasional weekend work.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
