Training and Development Lead

We are seeking a skilled Training and Development Lead to craft our organizational training strategy, oversee its implementation, and assess its outcomes at WNS. This role involves identifying training needs and driving suitable initiatives to build loyalty to the firm.

The Training Manager will work across various departments to get employees up to speed in their specific verticals and the overall company needs.

This position often requires backgrounds in business, leadership, human resources, development, and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine and assess future and current training requirements
  • Develop an overall or individualized training and development plan
  • Foster a wide variety of training methods
  • Ensure effective delivery of new hire training, refreshers, and ad hoc requests
  • Evaluate the effectiveness, success, and ROI of training programs periodically and report on them
  • Provide ongoing opportunities for development
  • Drive individual goals, including but not limited to, training certifications for trainers and deadlines for training remediation
  • Manage the workload and workflows for the training team and establish the right organizational structures to support all lines of business and workflows
  • Communicate proactively with clients on daily operational matters related to training
  • Partner with operational teams to ensure refresher training needs are identified and delivered

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience in financial crime is mandatory
  • Experience in AML KYC CDD and EDD domains is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and operations management skills
  • Excellent client-focused written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimal structure
  • Proven work experience as a Training Manager
  • Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in-classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations, etc)
