Job Summary

">Database Administrator Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to oversee the maintenance and optimization of our core databases.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in relational database systems, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance. Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL, and GCP Cloud SQL is essential.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • • Install and configure relational database systems on-premises and in the cloud.

  • • Monitor database performance, tuning queries, indexes, and configurations for optimal response times using tools like CloudWatch, Performance Insights, Grafana, or pgAdmin.

  • • Ensure data security, integrity, backup, and recovery processes are in place and regularly tested.

  • • Automate routine database maintenance and deployment tasks using CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, or AWS-native services.

  • • Troubleshoot database-related issues in production and non-production environments, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity issues, and cloud integration errors.

  • • Collaborate with developers to design efficient database schemas, optimize queries, and implement best practices for scalable cloud-based applications.

  • • Implement and monitor disaster recovery and high-availability strategies such as clustering, replication, multi-AZ, and failover setups in cloud platforms.

  • • Maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, processes, and cloud runbooks.

  • • Assist in building data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
