Cloud Financial Management Expert

Fyndbridge Consultants Advisors is seeking a seasoned Principal Cloud Engineer to lead cloud financial management (FinOps) initiatives and drive operational excellence on the Azure platform.

This role will shape cloud service strategies, lead research and proof of concepts (POCs), and provide opinionated insights to influence offerings and internal best practices.

The ideal candidate brings deep Azure expertise, cost optimization skills, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Azure FinOps: Manage and optimize Azure subscriptions and resources, ensuring cost efficiency and proper utilization.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards using Azure Cost Management data and exports.
  • Implement and manage Azure-native dashboards (Azure Advisor, budgets, cost recommendations).
  • Lead large-scale Azure migration and modernization engagements, managing end-to-end lifecycle and program governance.
  • Define and implement cost-management strategies through monitoring, optimization, and automation of Azure services.
  • Design and implement secure, scalable, efficient, and cost-optimized Azure solutions, balancing trade-offs across requirements, speed, cost, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Finance and Operations: Oversee the financial aspects of cloud operations, ensuring optimal resource allocation and minimal waste.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans that align with business objectives.
  • Cost Optimization: Develop and implement cost-saving strategies, leveraging Azure's pricing models and optimization tools.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight for large-scale Azure migrations and modernizations.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements:

A minimum 7+ years in cloud operations with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
