Job Title: Azure Lead MS-SQL DBA

We are seeking an experienced Azure Lead MS-SQL DBA to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Microsoft SQL Server databases within the Azure cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and monitor high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies to ensure business continuity and data resilience.
  • Provision, configure, and manage Azure SQL Databases, Managed Instances, and SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines.
  • Plan and execute robust backup and restore operations, validate recovery procedures, and ensure compliance with Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
  • Monitor database performance using Azure Monitor, SQL Insights, and Query Store.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks by optimizing queries, indexes, and resource allocation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience working with Azure MS-SQL databases.
  • Experience in designing and architecture of public clouds such as Oracle OCI or Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with managing Oracle OCI or Azure VM, Network, and Security.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL (T-SQL).
  • Proficiency in performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with database security principles and implementation.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI).
