Senior Associate Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our team. As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for reviewing moderate to complex tax returns prepared by junior associates and advanced associates.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic and moderate tax concepts on individual tax returns (1040) and the ability to continuously enhance their knowledge through client work and staying up-to-date with tax developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and provide feedback on tax returns prepared by junior associates and advanced associates.
  • Ensure exceptional quality and timely delivery of tasks assigned to associates.
  • Train and assist associates and advanced associates with their questions on day-to-day basis.
  • Assist the team in tax research to develop a deep understanding of tax theory and principles and apply them appropriately on individual tax returns to fulfill client requirements.
  • Enhance teamwork and have the ability to communicate with teams in India and in the US.
  • Provide assistance to managers on projects as requested.
  • Demonstrate independent judgment and decision-making capabilities when preparing tax returns.
Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and coaching abilities.
  • Worked on US individual tax returns with complex situations and worked on High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs).
  • Good knowledge of moderate and complex tax concepts including forms like 8621, 5471, 1116, 2555, 6252, and Passthrough reporting.
  • Able to manage a team and the team's workflow.
Qualification

Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in US Individual taxation (1040).
