Job Title: Procurement Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing technical spare parts, managing logistics, and coordinating with suppliers worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in spares stores services and technical purchasing, with excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will be required to work closely with our Superintendents to ensure prompt supply of technical spare parts and repair services to vessels.

Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with Superintendents for the supply of technical spare parts or Ship repair jobs or annual services.
  • Manage purchasing activities and arrange logistics to connect spares to the vessels.
  • Send enquiries/requisitions to suppliers worldwide for quotations of annual/bi-annual/5 yearly/10 yearly services of Navigation equipment, FFA & LSA, underwater inspections & hull cleaning, supply of technical spare parts and anodes bulk purchase, etc.
  • Liaise with vessels on any information required pertaining to requisitions.
  • Follow up with quotations from suppliers.
  • Prepare purchase orders and delivery orders/proforma invoices/packing lists, etc.
  • Assist in logistics arrangement (air freight/sea freight/land transport/sea transport).
  • Liaise with agents and ships for supply of spare parts and repair services to vessels at convenient ports.
  • Process invoices – verify vendor invoices against quotations and ensure invoices are processed within the credit term period.
  • Document filing/printing of Invoices.
Requirements:
  • Min. 3 years of experience.
  • Must have experience in spares stores services and all technical purchasing.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills required.
